Driver Feedback Signs

There are two driver feedback signs that monitor the speed of vehicles that travel north and south in front of the school, along 106 Street.
How It Works:
The speed data is captured in approximately 10 second windows.  The window duration varies more or less by the speed of the vehicle and certain other programmed parameters like average vehicle length and length of the detection zone.   During that 10 seconds the speed detected is compared to high and low speed memories.  When the 10 seconds expires, if a vehicle was detected, the highest and lowest speed memories are used to increment counts in the appropriate highest and lowest bin sets, and the highest and lowest speed memories are reset.     Every 15 minutes the Bin counts are committed to a log entry and all of the counts are reset.
Where Are they Located:
The map to the right shows the two locations.  Hovering or clicking on either of the points will show details about the sign.

Northbound Sign (DFS134) - Fastest Speeds (by hour)
This chart shows the following:
  • weekdays only
  • playground zone speeds only
  • playground zone times only
The chart also offers a custom filter on the date and time of recording.  The default setting for this filter is the relative setting and is set to show the current quarter of data.
Feel free to change the filter to see different time periods of interest.
Note: The term HI refers to the fastest speed recorded.
Northbound Sign (DFS134) - Slowest Speeds (by hour)
This chart shows the following:
  • weekdays only
  • playground zone speeds only
  • playground zone times only
The chart also offers a custom filter on the date and time of recording.  The default setting for this filter is the relative setting and is set to show the current quarter of data.
Feel free to change the filter to see different time periods of interest.
Note: The term LO refers to the slowest speed recorded.

Mobile Automated Traffic Enforcement Tickets Issued

There are two enforcement sites where mobile automated traffic enforcement take place and monitors the speed of vehicles that travel north and south in front of the school, along 106 Street.
How It Works:
Since the topic of mobile automated traffic enforcement is so vast and diverse, here is a link that helps explain everything about the city's use of mobile automated traffic enforcement.
Where Are they Located:
The map to the left shows a legend of Site ID's.  The actual points may appear to be overlapping, so zooming in on the map may be necessary to see each of the two locations.  Hovering or clicking on either of the points will show tickets issued details for that site.  Also, the location points for these Site ID's are not the actual place of enforcement, but instead is a reference point so it can be mapped.

Northbound (Site 4055) Tickets Issued

Note: There is no direction correlation between tickets that have been issued and the day of the week or time within a day as to when the ticket was issued.  This is because the ticket issued data is for an entire month, but can still provide some perspective.

Southbound Sign (DFS135) - Fastest Speeds (by hour)
